There are a lot of men and women alike all around the world who think that it is very easy for them to learn how to play electric guitar. They think that there will be no need for them to exert the time and effort to practice because there is simply no need to do so. However, you should know that learning how to play the electric guitar is not as easy as you think. You should be ready to have painful and sore fingertips during the first couple of weeks that you are still learning how to play. You should also be patient because learning chords and various chords combinations can be tough.

The best advice that my guitarist friend told me when it comes to learning how to play an electric guitar for beginners is to be patient and have perseverance. You should also do it if you really want to learn how to play, not because you are forced by your friends or your family members. It will be easier for you to learn if you are really passionate about learning how to play the electric guitar.

Another tip for beginners when it comes to learning how to play the electric guitar is to practice, practice, and practice! Many beginners complain that their fingertips are sore and hurting so bad that they had to stop playing the guitar for a few weeks. However, if you really desire to know how to play, then this will not bother you.

There are three things that you should keep in mind when you get your first electric guitar and these are changes in the chord, strumming, and chords. You should always remember that these three factors are what makes up a good song.

For those of you who are still not familiar or does not know what chords are, these are the various shapes created on the fret board using your fingers. You should remember that when you use various shapes, there are also many combinations of sounds that are created. Most of the time, those who are new when it comes to electric guitars, are finding it difficult to create chords because their fingers are still stiff or not coordinated. If you are one of these people, then you have nothing to worry about because as time passes by or when you practice all the time, you will see an improvement on the way you play.

Many beginners complain that they are having a hard time pressing down without any problems on their strings thus creating a weird sound. However, keep in mind that when you practice thoroughly, your fingers will become stronger and more coordinated. The key to learning this technique is by practicing day and night. It is also highly recommended that you focus more on the basic chords if you are still a beginner instead of focusing on the harder ones. When you are already familiar with the various simple chords, it will become easier for you to play more difficult ones.

“What should I look for in an electric guitar package?” and “What comes with an electric guitar packages for beginners?” These are the questions that bother many people who want to learn how to play the electric guitar. If you are one of these people, you should know that there are a few important things that come with an electric guitar package such as the electric guitar, amplified, stand, strap, and extra plectrums and stings. There are some packages though that comes with a tuner.

However, before you choose an electric guitar package, the best thing that you should do first is to think about what type of electric guitar you want to use. If you are a big fan of rock music, then the best choice for you is an RG . On the other hand, if you like a more laid-back type of rock music like classic rock, then you should choose a Les Paul guitar. There are other types of guitars available in the market for different music genres, you just have to choose which one will work best for you.

On the event though that you have doubts when it comes to the longevity of the electric guitar package, there is absolutely no need for you to worry or be anxious about because you will surely get your money’s worth. However, you will find that there is a need for you to upgrade after a few months to a year mostly because of the fact that you are looking for a better guitar for your improved skills.

It seems that every teenager goes through a stage when he or she wants to be a rock star. They dream of strapping on that electric guitar or getting behind the drum kit, and expressing all the rebellion of adolescence as fiery pyrotechnics explode in the background. Of course, all of this rock and roll stardom has to start somewhere. Guitar lessons are a helpful step. Just remember: the first guitar you ever get is the most special. It does not matter if it is a beat-up old Stratocaster, or some uncomfortable and oversized acoustic, you will always remember the guitar you first learned to play on.

The basic guitar chords are E, G, B, D, F, A, and C. There are major, minor, and dominant variations of these chords as well: G7, A7, and D minor, are just a few examples. The majority of pop or rock songs are built on these basic chords. As a beginner, the difficulty in learning how to play guitar is twofold. First, you need to condition the fingers no properly hold down the chords, by putting pressure on the strings, in order to get clear sound. Getting adjusted to these chord formations takes time; the hand often feels cramped and awkward, and calluses form on the tips of the fingers. Second, being able to change from one chord to another, quickly and cleanly, takes practice. However, once these two fundamentals are achieved, you are well on your way to hitting the big stage.

The Squier Fat Stratocaster is a powerful piece of music potential. With a throwback look that is more 1970’s than 2011, this guitar is built for playing. It is made of durable materials with a decent enough finish to frustrate the more common ways that one accidentally damages a guitar. In addition, as a plus for beginners, the Squier Fat Stratocaster holds its tune decently due to its efficient construction and six standard die cast tuners. The oversized headstock immediately brings one back to a time that guitars dominated music. The pickguard is a beautiful addition to a solid instrument.

With three pick-ups and twenty-two frets, the Squier Fat Stratocaster gives a novice the tools to begin a musical journey well prepared. It is a great guitar to take the first steps toward blues or classic rock licks or even to progress through chords. The sound is typically full with play being easy on the more than adequate fingerboard. Using decent quality strings will maximize the performance of this guitar.

While there have been reports of problematic sound quality associated with the Squier Fat Stratocaster, this should not scare away a potential buyer. A quick play of the guitar or communication with a music store employee can relax the tension. Typically, the Squier Fat Stratocaster has had some issues with the low e string buzzing. However, lowering the action can quickly remedy the situation. This is a decent guitar, that is durable and at a decent price for a beginner.

For a beginner guitar, the Epiphone Les Paul Special II is a sure fire winner. Lightweight, easy to play strings and chords, easy tuning, plus, it offers a beautiful design and body. It features 22 jump frets, a rosewood fretboard, a mahogany and rosewood handle, and the body of the guitar is alder/maple wood. All making for a smooth, fresh looking guitar.

It has an ebony black finish, covered by dot inlays and chrome hardware for the strings. It also features a tune-o-matic bridge, one volume, on tone, and one three-way switch, to get varying degrees of sound, for any tune or genre you are looking to play. Also, there are much fewer controls on the Epiphone, meaning for a beginner, there are fewer things to learn, meaning it is easier to learn to play on this guitar, than one with more buttons and tuning features.

It has a great volume control, and can play anything from country to heavy metal, and still offer a strong sound. It offers even action and volume throughout the entire body of the guitar as well. Meaning a smoother sound, and greater music quality. It can also be heard in any location, from the small coffee shop down the street, to a big stage full of thousands of screaming fans.

The ease of which the player can play any tune makes it a great guitar for beginners. Plus, the body looks great, has fewer buttons and controls, meaning it is very easy to control for a beginner player.

For a great beginner guitar, at a reasonable price (about $225, but can go higher depending on where you buy it from), the Ibanez GSA60 is a great choice for users to learn their strings and chords quickly, and get a comfortable playing guitar feeling. It is extremely easy to get used to strumming the strings, very quickly, and is made of durable material (maple neck), and is a little thicker towards the bottom base.

It features two string coils, a single powersound humbucker (bridge), one volume, one tone, and 5-way pickup selector. You can get the most extreme sounds, and can play almost any song or genre on the guitar.
You’ve been air jamming since you learned to walk. You’ve been listening to the electric guitar greats and you want to learn to play like Eddie Van Halen, George Harrison, and other modern players that know how to jam like Keith Urban. You want your fingers to fly across the strings and be able to pick out any tune that comes to mind, become one with that instrument, become a guitar god. So you wonder, how long does it take to learn how to play?

Learning to play the electric guitar won’t happen overnight but it can happen with dedication and persistence. It will take patience and daily practice. Depending on how much of a natural you are, it could take 3 months up to a year before you start having a smoother sound. If you’re hoping to sing and play, do both as you learn to really get the hang of it. You’ll learn many basics such as tuning, using chords, fingering, and reading music unless you’re one of those fortunate people who can pick up new songs by ear.

Finally, to become really good, it’s going to take a lifetime of playing. Think of people that have made a career out of playing on their electric guitars. For the greats, that guitar is like an extension of tthier bodies, like breathing, something they have to do every day because it’s what they love. Model yourself after the greats, find your way, and make sure you enjoy the journey.

Electric guitar equipment for beginners is not hard to find, just hard to choose from all the different selections out there. What makes one guitar different from the other? How much should you spend? Keep in mind you don’t need to spend a fortune, but also you get what you paid for.

There are plenty of electric guitars under $500.00 for beginners without breaking the bank. Consider Squier’s Fat Stratocaster or Affinity Series Telecaster, both low in price and made of quality materials. There’s also Ibanez, which offers Jumpstart Electric and Electric/Acoustic Guitar packages. They include your axe, amp, cord, a gig bag, tuner, cable etc.

The most important piece of equipment for the electric guitar is of course the amplifier. If you already have your electric guitar and are looking into amps for beginners, here are a few suggestions. There are four types of guitar amplifiers: Solid-state (analog), Tube, Modeling (digital) and Hybrids. Choose the one that best fits your style, your sound, and its versatility. If you’re not that picky and looking for endurance than the Fender Junior Combo is one of the best beginner amps out there. It comes at under $400.00 but will last for years to come. This is in comparison to other amplifiers that only provide enough volume for just practicing which will force you to upgrade to another one once you’re ready for more. The Fender Junior Combo is small yet loud enough for use with a full band and simple to operate.

Learning to play the guitar can seem like a daunting task at first. There are so many things to learn and practice that after a while it can be overwhelming. The intent of this article is to go over the three main factors of playing an electrical guitar.

Before you can even play the guitar, it is wise to familiarize yourself with the instrument. For starters, the guitar consists of a head, neck, and the body. The body’s purpose is to maximize the sound while the neck adjusts the pitch and the head alters the tune.

Now that you are familiarized with the guitar, you must do some ear training. Well, it wouldn’t make any sense to learn to play and not be able to imitate the sounds, which is the whole purpose of playing the guitar. Once you succeed in the ear training department you will be able to recognize not only the tones but the chords too. Which will in the end help you precede with learning and practicing songs.

Since you can recognize tones and chords by your own two ears, the next step is to develop muscle memory. You are probably thinking how do I do that? Well there are exercises you can play on the guitar to achieve this. Just think of practicing the guitar exercises like eating healthy. For those who aspire to be a great guitarist, muscle memory is important. In about thirty minutes each and ever day you can easily develop skills that will help you excel in every piece that you play.

In the end you’ll know the three main steps to play the electric guitar. All it takes is to familiarize yourself with the guitar, train your ears and practice muscle memory. When you put those all together you will be on your way to playing flawless.
